Prliminary Sketches

Pear Moth

Pears can survive temperatures as low as -40®C, and so can this Pear Moth. It has 2 antennas for feeling the temperature. It’s legs are designed to dig into snow and it’s body so it doesn’t fall through. It’s body is also designed for quickly rolling down slopes and it’s wings for gliding, as it is too heavy to fly. His name is Joel.

Lizard Man Matis

A lizard man with a natural exoskeleton similar to a praying mantis. He has a pair of scythes on his very movable top arm and a pair of hand on the bottom. He breathes through water and can swim quickly due to webbed hands. His natural exoskeleton takes oxygen from the air and puts it into water, supplying it to his gills. He can use wings to fly as a mantis, and as a lizard naturally regenerates any lost limbs over time. His name is Ray.

Kabuto Beetle Robot Dog

This robot dog is a purpose built machine for getting from place to place quickly and for close combat. He can see in many different way and has electro magnetic feet which also have retractable spikes to dig into other terrain, as well as gliders and a horn for battle. His tail has a poisonous sting. He was used for battle years ago however became self aware evading situation where humans can hurt him, but also trying to help when he's needed. His name is Hugh.

I decided to carry on with Hugh's design. I did a side and front drawing, as well as annotated him.

I then did a final digital drawing of him, including an environment and his colours.
